Action, violence and romance, this one has it all.

“Selene” (Kate Beckinsale) and “Michael” (Scott Speedman) are on the run again in the continuing saga of the Vampire/Lycan blood-war. But this time, there’s a lot more action!

The film picks up pretty much where it left off: In the last film, Selene gave Michael immortality, and now they are on the run together from enemies on either side of the bloodline (Vampire/ Lycan), with each trying to protect one another. Michael has new ‘powers’ and is attempting to adjust to them, but is having great difficulty with the fact that he now needs to consume actual blood to survive.

The history behind both the Vampires and Lycans is exposed even further this time around. With plot twists and back-stabbing galore, we get a better idea as to why these two species can’t seem to get along.

The vampires are twice the bad-asses they were in the first film. This time around, they are quite amazing with dagger-bearing wings. And the werewolves are seriously fierce (especially the mutated ones that are used as ‘watch-dogs’), these things just keep getting bigger!

With scene after scene of crash-em-up, blow-em-up action, but seasoned well with just the right amount of romance (and hot sex!); Underworld Evolution will definitely be something to add to the DVD collection.
