TWISTED LONELINESS by JOE KNETTER
By Aine

Joe Knetter is at it again. You may know Joe as the naked man at conventions, or you may know him from message boards, you may have even been serenaded by his self-portrait ass tattoo.

Joe came onto the horror scene mysteriously a few years ago as one of the two main people to start the Splat Books label, a group that published three horror anthologies by various unknown others. The books were called “Self Mutilation.” There was also another collection titled Bodily Fluids that was half stories by Joe and half stories by Matt Jorgenson. Now that Splat Books has died down some, Joe has moved on and published his own short story collection: Twisted Loneliness, a collection of Joe’s previously published works from the four Splat Books titles, as well as a chap book called The Puzzle, and a new story called A Truly Grand Day, edited by none other than me.

If you haven’t yet been treated to the glory that is Joe Knetter you are seriously missing out on some of the sickest, weirdest, and outright spankadelic stories ever told. With an introduction by genre star Sid Haig, and an audio version coming soon to be read by Sid Haig, it comes pre-approved from the horror elite. This collection is classic Knetter.

Stories like Ollie and the Monster, Bad Vibrations, and The Puzzle practically beg to be made into feature-length films, and some are so full of creepy goodies that you won’t know whether to puke, cry, or laugh. The Closet alone is enough to make me wretch, but in a good way, a way that leaves me holding the testicles that I don’t even have and cringing in a corner.

I am anxiously, and I mean ANXIOUSLY awaiting the next books from Joe Knetter. Coming soon is Joe’s first novel, Zombie Bukkake, with a tagline like “Dying to get off” you can’t go wrong. Also coming soon is a new collection of Joe’s short stories currently titled Sick Decrees of Evisceration.

In the mean time you can check out Joe’s film projects and keep up with him online at www.joeknetter.com
