TEXAS FRIGHTMARE WEEKEND 2006 - February 4th & 5th, 2006 - Dallas, TX

The weekend of Feb. 4-5 was time well spent in Grapevine Texas. For a first show, this was a great turn-out with hoards of friendly fans awaiting the chance to get up-close and spend some time with their favorite horror baddies. To name a few; Sid Haig and Bill Mosely (TDR), Betsy Palmer and Ari Lehman (Fri. 13th), and a down-home reunion for the Texas Chainsaw II cast including Lou Perryman, Bill Johnson and the ever so sweet Caroline Williams. Horror author Joe Knetter was even in attendance preaching the good word of sick and twisted horror and promoting his next book Zombie Bukkake as only Joe can. Everyone was fun and friendly.

The vendor room was packed with fantastic goodies and super cool people including the always interesting Stu Charno and georgious Debbie Rochon. Heidi Martinuzzi (Pretty Scary) was also in attendance being her bubbly self and greeting everyone with a smile.

Events such as movie screenings and Q & A panels were scheduled throughout the day and into the evening so that there was always something going on for the die-hard horror fan. There was even a killer concert Saturday night with Freak 13, the fantastic (and ever-so friendly) Horrorifics and the always entertaining Rigor Mortis.

Hospitality out the wazoo, unbelievable organization and just the sweetest people, I hope that this will become a yearly event.
