| DEVIL’S REJECTS SIGNING AT HOLLYWOOD BOOK
& POSTER - JULY 10, 2005 Hollywood Boulevard from Vine to Highland was swarming with Devil’s Rejects fans eagerly awaiting the opening of the Legendary Hollywood Book & Poster store for it’s autograph signing and major swag giveaways which included free posters, beach towels, t-shirts and free passes to a screening of the film before it hits theaters! What a day! After arriving later than planned due to some “technical difficulties”, Spanky and I pulled up right in front of the store (thanx Ken!) in the “Rejects Ride” and were greeted by Meatpuppet and a few radio and internet stations who were covering the event. We got in line and before long we were handed a free poster and let into one of the most organized autograph signings ever! The tables were lined-up in a semi-snake-like formation that was a delightful buffet of Devil’s Rejects cast members ranging from E.G. Daily, Jeffrey Lewis, Ken Foree (despite his tardiness), Bill Moseley, Sid Haig and Matt Mc Grory to name a few. Just like the staff at HB&P, the cast members were tremendously gracious, patient and genuinely kind. As the line outside grew and stretched around the city block, Bill Moseley and Sid Haig came out every so often to pump up the crowd and reassure everyone that they weren’t being left out, which kept a great vibe among the fans who, despite the afternoon heat and Hollywood craziness, kept their cool. Originally the event was scheduled
to start at noon and end at 3 p.m. but wound up lasting until after
5 p.m. due to the ever-growing line of fans. Which goes to show you
that the staff at HB&P as well as the cast of TDR are awesome and
made sure that every last person in line was accommodated.
