Well well! What do we have here? A film that’s not a shameful remake and it doesn’t model itself after a video game, FINALLY!!

7ft tall 400 lb Jacob Goodnight (Kane) is a psychotic killer. With claw-like fingernails perfect for eyeball plucking, he mutilates his victims, until he is shot and left for dead by a cop.

Four years have passed. Jacob Goodnight is still alive (thanks to a steel plate in the back of his head) and still on a rampage. Only now he has hidden himself in the run-down Blackwell Hotel where he stalks unsuspecting homeless people. That is, until a handful of petty lawbreakers seeking to reduce their time in jail partake in the ‘cleaning up’ of the Blackwell.

Co-eds are killed in some fairly unique ways and the story behind Jacobs’s madness is revealed with a sort-of “awww” to it, but the best part about this flick is the fact that overbearing and domineering mothers truly do create monsters.

See No Evil is actually a breath of fresh air tainted with laughing gas.
