to the TNT network, where he hosted the weekly “MonsterVision.”
Joe Bob began taking roles in major motion pictures, including "Casino,"
"The Stand," "FaceOff," "Great Balls of Fire,"
and many horror genre pictures including Stephen King's "All That You Love
Will Be Carried Away.” In the late nineties he was a regular correspondent

9/11 attacks for United Press International and working as a contributing editor
to The National Lampoon, freelancing for Rolling Stone, Playboy, the Village
Voice, Talk Magazine, and many other popular magazines including a humorous
sex advice column in Penthouse and as a regular humor columnist and theater
critic at the National Review.
Briggs has authored eight successful books, including a picaresque novel, four
books of satirical social commentary, a true crime story which became an ABC
television movie, and the two most recent--works of cultural film criticism
called "Profoundly Disturbing: Shocking Movies That Changed History"
