Stand By Me meets Invasion of the Bodysnatchers!!

I don’t think I’ve seen a bad Stephen King adaptation yet, and although I usually read the book before I see one of his movies, in this case I didn’t but really wish I had.

This story of five friends and their unusual bond keeps you entertained as well as on your toes with great humor and unbelievable creativity (I know I’ve never thought of the bathroom as a scary place!).

I’m not big on aliens or sci-fi type flicks, but Mr. King’s twisted humor made this tolerable. At first, I thought this was going to be a re-make of The Thing or something along those lines, boy was I wrong…..

Aside from the corny government involvement (I guess you really can’t make a movie about aliens unless the government is involved in some way) this wasn’t a bad movie, and the cast; Morgan Freeman, Tom Sizemore and the hilarious and sexy Jason Lee made it all the more endurable, and DO keep your eye out for Donnie Wahlberg, he’s a MUST SEE in this one!!
