Dead Silence
By Larra

Beware the stare of Mary Shaw
She had no children, only dolls
If you see her in your dreams
Be sure you never, ever scream……

We’ve all heard similar rhymes at one time or another; whether it’s Bloody Mary or some other legend, well now you have the legend of pissed-off ventriloquist Mary Shaw. It seems that sometime back in the 1940’s in the small town of Raven’s Fair, Mary Shaw was brutally murdered and had her tongue cut out after being blamed for the disappearance of a young boy. Because of her savage death, Mary has decided to take revenge on the entire town. Wow! Don’t ever tell a ventriloquist that you can see their lips moving!

After the bizarre death of his young wife Lisa, Jamie Ashen must return to the small town of Ravens fair where he is confronted by the ghost of Mary Shaw on a personal level. Jumps and scares (if you can call them that) follow Jamie and an idiot detective (Donnie Wahlberg) as they try to solve the mystery surrounding Mary Shaw and her dolls.

Um, ok, so I thought that this was going to be a creepy doll movie like Magic or even the Twilight Zone episode “Talking Tina” but I guess that once again I set my expectations a little too high and was disappointed yet again.
