Something evil was conjured up 40 years ago during the darkness of a solar eclipse that involved children, blood and otherworldly powers and now, 40 years later, during the next solar eclipse, it’s being called on again.

A family moves into a house that, unbeknownst to them, was the portal for evil 40 years ago and as the solar eclipse nears, the walls, as well as psyche of this family are literally shattered through psychological and supernatural occurrences. Anna Paquin portrays the strong-willed daughter of this tightly knit family that slowly begins to unravel as deep dark secrets of THE DARKNESS begin their manifestation.

I was very confused to say the least as there are several different stories and situations that all become interwoven, maybe it’s because I’m blonde, but I just got lost in the dramatics of the visuals and rode it out like a rollercoaster for my brain which kept me from nodding-out.
