| CORPSE BRIDE
Tim Burton has graced us with yet another wonderfully-funny, animated delight in the form of The Corpse Bride. Set in the early 19th century, this gem introduces Victor,(Johnny Depp) who, is set to marry Victoria (Emily Watson) in an ‘arranged’ marriage of sorts due to that ‘allmighty~dollar’. Well, as the two have never met, they have a ‘chance run-in’ at a piano and decide that each is the ideal mate and are happy with the little ‘arrangement’ that their parents have encroached. That is, until Victor, who can’t seem to remember his vows at each rehearsal, decides to take a stroll out into the forest and ‘practice’ …… Which is where his story takes a strange turn……. To say the least! While trying to remember/memorize his vows, Victor ‘practices’ on what he thinks is a dead tree……. Placing the wedding-band on a ‘branch,’ he gets the vows ‘just right,’ thus, bringing forth or evoking the ‘Corpse Bride,’ Emily (Helena Bonham Carter), who, after being murdered on her wedding night, only wants to be married and happy. Well, I really don’t want
to ‘spoil’ anything for anyone, so I shall just say this:
The Corpse Bride is a movie for all ages and will deliver any laughs,
slight feelings of “awwww!” and even the misunderstood slight
