28 Weeks Later
By Larra
Don Harris (Robert Carlyle), his wife Alice (Catherine McCormick) and
a few others were safe through the initial outbreak of the Rage Virus.
That is, until Alice decided to open the door of their boarded-up home
to a child who, low-and-behold, was being hunted by a gazillion of the
“infected” thus, allowing them to crash through doors and
windows killing all but Don who, decided to leave Alice to fend for
herself as he slipped through a second-story window and took off running
through the countryside. (What a man!)
Six months have passed and Don has reestablished himself in newly rebuilt
London (thanks to the U.S. military) and is anxiously awaiting the arrival
of his two children who were luckily away at a boarding school. When
the kids arrive and have questions about their mother he tells them
a bullshit story about how he tried to save her but couldn’t.
Well, the kids get curious and decide to sneak out to their old home
in the now forbidden countryside and discover that their mother is alive,
infected, but alive and as you can imagine tragedy and mayhem ensues.
This was just too boring and predictable. I think the only thing enjoyable
was my popcorn and Jeremy Renner, until they killed him off. They should
have called this 28 Ways to Waste a Movie Budget.
